Sands
CLEAN COURSE SAND
Used for trenches (stormwater and electrical) and behind retaining walls. Can be used for top dressing of lawns or under turf preparations.
Use under pavers as ants wont disturb as much and ideal for kid’s sand pits.
BRICKIES LOAM (50/50 SAND)
Used for mortar for brick and block laying. Also referred to as ‘fattie sand’. Too fine to be used as a rendering sand.
HARBOUR DUNE SAND
Used for rendering of bricks and blocks. Sometimes referred to as ‘sharpe sand’
BAKERS CREEK SAND (FINE SAND)
Used as a fill sand for under slabs and packs well. Not suited to sand pits as it tends to stick to the little ones.
